A weird thing happened to me at work Saturday. My friend Devonna walked up to me and asked, "So are you and Paul really over?" I just looked at her for a minute, then said yes. She looked at me and then just walked away.

Ok, that was a little weird, but thats not all of it yet. About 45 minutes later she walked up to me, held out her work nextel and said, "Someone wants to talk to you." I thought nothing of it because we frequently have to talk to techs on nextels and if one of them couldn't get through to me on mine, they would try hers because hers is the next number up. I took the nextel and said hello.

It turns out that it was a tech, but he didn't want to talk to me about work, he wanted to ask me on a date. We talked for a few minutes but I was at work so he gave me his number and asked if I would call him after work. I said ok, hung up with him, and then marched straight over to Devonna's desk.

Devonna told me that he was good friends with her and her boyfriend, and that he had been interested in me for a while. Apparently, he always liked the way I was with him on the phone, and he even came up to work once and had Devonna point me out to him so he could see what I looked like. He was only waiting for her ok to ask me out.

I called him after work and we talked for about an hour. He seems funny and nice, and now that I know which tech he is, he is cute too, so we'll see what happens.
